Your responsibilities
We accept most major insurance plans and will file claims on your behalf. However, we cannot guarantee payment. It is your responsibility to call your insurance company to make sure our office is in your network and that you are covered for the services you will receive from us. You are also responsible for any authorizations and referrals from your insurance and primary care providers if your insurance requires them.
You are responsible for knowing your copayment, coinsurance and deductible amounts. You are responsible for all payments not covered by your insurance company, and we expect payment at the time of your visit unless our billing department approves other arrangements in advance.
For patients or services not covered by insurance, we offer affordable self-pay rates. If you have any questions, please call our clinic at 501-817-3923 or our billing department at 501-817-3926.
Pathology and laboratory services
All pathology and laboratory services are performed by an outside facility. We have agreements with specific pathology and laboratory companies that offer our patients significant savings on these services. Labs will be billed by Quest Diagnostics. Pathology will be billed separately by Prime Medical Group.
Good Faith Estimate policy
Under the Good Faith Estimate law, when you ask, we are required to give you an estimate of the total expected price for non-emergency health care services.
- Estimates are not binding on the practitioner. The final price may vary from the estimate based on your medical needs.
- The estimate does not include additional services that may be needed, such as dermatopathology and immunodermatology (diagnostic testing of fluids or tissue, and additional staining).
- An estimate is good for 30 days.
If you would like an estimate, please ask one of our staff members for help.
Skin tag removal
Unlike medical procedures, skin tag removal is generally not covered by insurance, so it is paid out of pocket. The cost of routine cosmetic skin tag removal can range from $150 to $300, depending on location and size. The cost can be higher if multiple skin tags are removed.
