Accessibility statement
Everyone deserves equal access to health information and care. We designed this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology.
Our commitment
Pinnacle Dermatology, a division of Prime Medical Group, PLLC, is committed to providing a website that is accessible to people with disabilities and that complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act.
Standards we follow
This website was designed and built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AAA — the highest level — wherever possible, and at minimum Level AA. WCAG explains how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including blindness and low vision, deafness and hearing loss, limited movement, speech disabilities, photosensitivity, and learning and cognitive disabilities.
Accessibility features
- Accessibility settings. Use the “Accessibility” button at the top of every page to enlarge text up to 200%, switch to high-contrast or dark colors, use a simple font, increase text spacing, underline all links and turn off motion. Your choices are saved on your device.
- Enhanced color contrast. Text meets a contrast ratio of at least 7:1 (4.5:1 for large text).
- Keyboard access. Everything works with a keyboard alone. A “Skip to main content” link is the first item on every page, and a thick, high-contrast outline shows where you are.
- Screen reader support. Pages use proper headings, landmarks, lists and labels. Images have text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Large touch targets. Buttons and links are at least 44 by 44 pixels.
- Zoom and reflow. Pages work at up to 400% browser zoom and on small screens without scrolling sideways.
- Plain language. Treatment pages begin with an “At a glance” summary in plain language, and medical terms are explained.
- Clear location. Breadcrumb links, consistent menus and a site map help you find your way.
- No time limits, pop-ups or auto-playing media. Nothing moves, flashes or changes unless you ask it to.
- Languages. Free interpreters are available. Our interpreter services notice is available in 16 languages, each marked so screen readers use the correct pronunciation.
- Printable instructions. Pre- and post-care instructions print cleanly without menus.
- Privacy-friendly. This website does not use tracking cookies, advertising trackers or third-party fonts.
Content from other providers
Some services linked from this website are provided by other companies, including online scheduling and secure messaging (Klara), the patient portal and bill payment (EMA by ModMed), our online store and product brand websites, and map directions (Google Maps). We choose partners with accessibility in mind, but we do not control their websites. If you have trouble using any of them, please contact us and we will help you directly.
Forms and documents
Our patient forms and notices are accessible PDF files. They are tagged for screen readers, with headings, lists, tables and the document’s language marked, and the forms can be filled in on a computer, with a spoken label for every field. Other ways are always available too: you can complete your information in the patient portal, read the full text of our office policies and notices on this website, or call us and we will provide a form in another format or help you fill it out.

If you have difficulty using any part of this website, or you need information in a different format, please let us know. Tell us the web address of the page and the problem you found, and we will work to fix it and to get you the information you need.

How we test
Every page of this website is checked with automated accessibility testing against WCAG 2.2 Level A, AA and AAA rules, along with keyboard-only navigation, 200% text resizing and 400% zoom (320 pixel width) checks. Every PDF is checked for tags, a title, its language and labeled form fields. We review the website again whenever content changes.
Technical information
This website relies on HTML (the code that structures web pages), CSS (the code that styles them) and WAI-ARIA (code that describes controls to assistive technology). JavaScript adds conveniences such as the accessibility settings and drop-down menus, but every page and link works without it. The website is designed to work with current versions of major browsers and assistive technologies, including JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, Dragon and ZoomText.
