Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

for Hair Loss

PRP is used in the treatment of androgenetic alopecia in males and females. PRP for hair loss is a process of collecting a patients blood into a tube and spinning it down in a centrifuge separating the platelets from the other components of plasma. The PRP that is obtained is then injected into the scalp to stimulate hair growth.
Changes in hair growth may be seen after the first treatment, but most patients require a series of 4-6 treatments to obtain the desired outcome.
All patients who come in for PRP treatments will be seen by a board certified dermatologist.
